Caicun Zhou, MD, PhD, Director and Professor of Medical Oncology at Shanghai East Hospital, Tongji University, and Director of Tongji University Medical School Cancer Institute. He serves as President of IASLC and Vice President of Shanghai Anti-Cancer Association.
He was a visiting scientist in the USA (2002). He has led or participated in over 150 multicenter lung cancer trials, including OPTIMAL, BEYOND, ALESIA, EVIDENCE, KEYNOTE-033, PAPILLON, LIBRETTO-431, CAMEL, CAMEL-Sq, GEMSTONE-302, and HARMONI-2. His laboratory research focuses on biomarkers for early lung cancer diagnosis, genomic aberrations, and prognostic/predictive markers for chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and anti-PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy in NSCLC.
He has published more than 330 peer-reviewed papers, including NEJM, The Lancet, Lancet Oncology, JCO, JAMA Oncology, Cancer Cell, and Nature Medicine. He has received over 20 research grants from Chinese or Shanghai government agencies, and won the 2nd Award of National Science and Technology Progress and the first Award of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress.
He is an active member of ESMO and ASCO, and serves as a standing committee member of CSCO, CACA, and PRAM.
