Guang Ning, MD, PhD, is the President & Professor at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and an elected Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Dr. Ning is a visionary endocrinologist, a pioneering physician-scientist, and a public health leader. His areas of expertise are epidemiology, prevention, and intervention of cardiometabolic diseases, as well as the clinical and basic research of endocrine tumors.

Through leading nationwide cohorts and landmark trials, his work has revealed underlying mechanisms of endocrine tumors and identified pivotal determinants of cardiometabolic diseases. His research has been published in NEJM, Science, JAMA, and The BMJ. He has led the Chinese National Metabolic Management Center (MMC) Network, transforming diabetes care throughout the country by promoting standardized and guideline-based treatment. He is the recipient of numerous honors, including the International Endocrinology Award from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the ANM-Servier Medical Prize from the French National Academy of Medical Sciences, and the Honorary Fellowship Award from the American College of Cardiology.
