Founded in 1958, the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology (SAST) is the largest non-governmental scientific organization in the fields of natural science, technology, and engineering in Shanghai. SAST’s primary mission is to serve scientific and technological workers, support innovation-driven development, improve public scientific literacy, contribute to public scientific decision-making, and enhance openness, trust, and cooperation with the global science and technology community.
